NEW CONTACTLESS FARE COLLECTION SYSTEMS
Beginning this summer, Connect Transit will enhance services by introducing a new contactless fare payment system. The upgraded system will provide riders with a faster, more convenient way to pay fares, save money, and manage their accounts.
Connect Transit invites the public to attend one of the upcoming engagement sessions to learn about and provide feedback on the new modernized fare collection system.

With the launch of the new fare collection system, current fares on fixed route and Connect Mobility will not be changing but Connect Transit will update the fare for their Flex service, charging $1.25 per ride. The $1.25 Flex fare aligns the service with their “one fare for all” standard. Connect Transit is also excited to introduce a discounted fare of $0.50 per ride for junior high and high school students with a new Connect Discount ID card.
Connect Transit encourages members of the community, students, and riders to attend an engagement session to learn more.

What is fare capping?
Daily and monthly passes are no longer needed. Instead, once you've reached the daily, calender week, or calendar month cap on fixed route or Flex servces, passengers will continue to use our services at a zero-fare as long as they use the same payment method for all rides.
What about transfers?
You must tap your card or scan your app each time you board. Each tap/scan lasts 60 minutes. So, when you tap your card or scan your app on the bus, Connect Transit deducts the fare from your account and rides within 60 minutes will be at zero fare.
