Connect Mobility
The ADA requires transit agencies to provide service comparable to fixed route service for individuals whose disabilities prevent them from being able to access the fixed route bus.
The ADA states that Connect Transit’s regular bus service should be the primary means of public transportation for everyone, including people with disabilities. Under the ADA, Connect Mobility will serve as an alternate option for those persons who do not have the functional capability to ride Connect Transit’s buses.
To be able to use Connect Mobility, an individual must complete an application. For those who have been approved, Connect Mobility buses provide service in the same area and at the same days and times as Connect Tranit's fixed route buses. Connect Mobility is also available to companions of qualified riders, personal care attendants (PCAs), and service animals. To ensure there is a seat available, please notify Connect Mobility that you will have someone accompanying you when you make your reservation.
Are you a Veteran looking to setup a trip to the Bloomington VA Clinic? Connect Transit will waive the application process for Veterans needing transportation only to the VA Clinic. Veteran passes are available at no charge. Appointments on Connect Mobility will need to be made at least 24 hours in advance.
Please contact Connect Transit at 309-828-9833 to request an application in an accessible format. (Braille, Audio, Large Type, etc.)
